The success of Motor Bike Expo 2023 will be remembered
The dates have already been set for MBE 2024: 19-21 January.
Edition full of satisfaction for companies and public.
An exhibition that has finally been able to show its potential.
An eagerly awaited and dreamed of “reunion”, an event that brought together the great motorcycling community, the world’s leading production brands, emerging companies, the art of custom motorbikes, accessories, clothing, costumes and tourism.
Motor Bike Expo 2023 had staggering numbers
More than 160.000 visitors, 720 companies present, of which more than 80 from abroad – from 35 different countries – distributed over 100,000 square meters of exhibition space (80,000 indoor and 20,000 outdoor). 7 pavilions divided into themed areas, representing all the “worlds” of the two-wheel sector; 5 outdoor areas with breathtaking shows and hundreds of demo rides, more than 100 scheduled events and more than 3,000 motorbikes on display… a true “city of motorbikes” that has expanded and opened up the boundaries of the Veronafiere exhibition centre to converge with activities and initiatives towards the real centre of Verona.
It would be impossible to list all the illustrious names that could be seen in the corridors of MBE 2023, starting from racetrack riders such as Marco Lucchinelli, Lorenzo Savadori, Michele Pirro; dakar heroes Joan Pedrero, Franco Picco, Alex Salvini, Ottavio Missoni sporting champions such as 32-time world champion Toni Bou and 3-time mountain bike world champion Marco Aurelio Fontana; and of course the stars of custom’s world such as Cory and Zach Ness from Arlen Ness Motorcycles, Jeff Holt from V-Twin Visionary, Powerplant, Fred Krugger, Fred Kodlin, the Indonesians from Surui Motor Garage… and finishing with high institutional offices such as the visit of the President of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana and the President of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia.
“Motor Bike Expo has been a benchmark among international motorcycle shows for many years now, an unmissable appointment for both manufacturers and all two-wheel enthusiasts,” says Gianni Monini, Benelli Italy sales manager. Once again this year we were very satisfied with our presence and received an extremely positive feedback from the public, who showed strong interest in the new models of the Benelli 2023 range, such as TRK 702, TRK 800, Tornado Naked Twin 500 and BKX 250, and were able to enjoy the best-sellers of the current range, such as TRK 502X and Leoncino 800”.
“We are very pleased with Motor Bike Expo,” says Andrea Silva PR & Communication Manager BMW Motorrad Italy. “It is a perfect stage, with a very competent target group of visitors. For us, our 100th anniversary is a special moment and MBE was the ideal opportunity to tell motorcyclists about it: and for the first time, visitors were able to see and touch the R nineT and R18 in ‘100 Years Edition’ livery.
Lello Tasca, Keeway Italian Sales Manager told us “At the Motor Bike Expo, Keeway Group feels at home and this feeling, this year, has been further strengthened. Thanks to the growth of the Custom/Cruiser range, I think that MBE was the perfect opportunity to get in touch with one of the “target groups” of our greatest interest. Not only that! This event also allowed us to meet and talk to an attentive, well-prepared public interested in seeing our urban e-mobility proposals up close. Nice surprise!”
For Giacomo Marzoli, marketing manager of Harley-Davidson Italy/Spain/Portugal, the brand that celebrated its 120th anniversary at the Fair, ‘we had a very strong influx already on Friday: the feed-back is very positive, especially for the demo part that allowed motorcyclists to try out our vehicles also outside the fairgrounds. We are extremely satisfied, not only for the very high turnout but also for the enthusiasm of the public towards the entire H-D range. All eyes were on the new Softail Breakout and Nightster Special, but the entire Sportster family and Pan America also attracted interest and approval”.
Piaggio Group: Aprilia – Moto Guzzi
The huge turnout of the public obviously gave us great pleasure. It was very important that motorcyclists, in addition to admiring our motorbikes, responded with great enthusiasm to the new range of experiences and events to be experienced first-hand with the Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands that we presented in Verona. MBE was also the showcase for a very important announcement, Aprilia’s return to off-road racing, targeting big races in the desert.
“Our stand in Hall 6 was literally stormed by enthusiasts, it was so full that it was impossible to see the floor. We saw the interest in the new models such as the V-Strom 800 DE and the GSX-8S, but also the powerful Hayabusa, offered in GP Edition livery, was much admired”. – Andrea Simari (marketing manager)
“Yamaha Motor has always supported MBE, since its debut, without skipping any appointment even in the most complicated moments. This year we were rewarded by the large audience, authentically passionate and with a great desire to feel part of a still vibrant community. A very good sign for the whole industry,” says Andrea Colombi, country manager Yamaha Motor Italia.
BER Racing Europe
“Year after year Motor Bike Expo broadens its horizons, acquiring an increasingly international dimension. What makes MBE special is above all the direct relationship it manages to establish with the public. For many years now BER Racing has been present in force, but this year the turnout was truly overwhelming: praise goes to the organization, which had the merit of always believing in it, even in the darkest moments of the pandemic. And you can see the results”. Francesco Bombarda – Head of Marketing and Communication.
“Motor Bike Expo is very important for us because here we meet the real motorcyclist, which is our target audience”. Mattia Deider – retail marketing manager.
“We are very happy, the public turnout exceeded expectations. There was a lot of interest in our helmets, in particular in the modular helmets dedicated to touring and the very sporty X-Lite X-803 RS”. Luca Mazzolini – marketing manager.
